Louisville, Kentucky, 31 July 2008 -- ICAP Energy, LLC, the energy-focused commodity arm of ICAP plc, has announced that on September 2, 2008 they will migrate all natural gas and power confirmations to the ConfrimHub templates and will decommission their proprietary Online Checkout system in favor of the ConfirmHub service.
ICAP Energy Vice president of Technology Gary Burton said, "This announcement demonstrates ICAP Energy's commitment to the ConfirmHub service and helps to further solidify ConfirmHub as an industry standard. This flexible service increases efficiency and accuracy in trade capture and processing by allowing customers to integrate the data into their internal process in a variety of ways - by accessing data via the web interface, receiving data electronically through the API and by providing an electronic matching service."
The ConfirmHub service was founded in 2004 and is owned and operated as a joint venture of ICAP Energy, GFI, Tullett Prebon and NYMEX. ConfirmHub allows users to manage confirmation processing of brokered, exchange-traded, and bilateral transactions through a single web services API and an interactive, web-based trade confirmation application. Trade data for all ConfirmHub members is available in one, easy-to-use interface. This free service allows customers to receive trade data in a consistent format and with standard naming conventions from the leading voice brokers and from NYMEX.
